very rare masterpiece of Japanese photobooks, a collection of photographs by Japanese photographer Seto Ogawa, A Radical Chaotic Tour. These are photographs from Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou and Chongqing.
The photographs were taken in the 80's and 90's in China. Snapshots by a photographer who encountered the massacre in Tiananmen Square, demonstrations and armed oppression.
He captured the political and social chaos in China at the time, which engulfed the country for 10 years. We see both the activists killed in the incident, soldiers killed after the attack, the public trial, as well as the street vagrants. This book is a realistic portrait of the situation of China over 20 years ago.
